Meet Our Founder

Devandran Karunakaran is a qualified lawyer with over 20 years experience specialising in ship finance, offshore energy and renewables. Devandran moved to the UK from his native Singapore in 2000 to attend the University of Leicester, where he earned a bachelor of law degree with second upper class honours. He later obtained a post-graduate diploma (distinction) in Legal Practice from the College of Law, London.

Devandran began his legal career in London and has since lived and worked in Greece and Singapore, working for two international law firms, holding senior and management level positions.

 

Devandran established DKC in 2020. In essence, the sectors in which DKC operates and the services offered tap into Devandran’s professional experience and expertise which have been built over the years. At the heart of this has always been Devandran’s primary focus of building meaningful and long-lasting client relationships.

Devandran enjoys spending his free time with his family as well as keeping fit and watching football and rugby. He also brings a lot of enthusiasm to the kitchen, with varying degrees of success.
